Victory Speech as VP and President
Source: NBC News
Vice President Kamala Harris's speech was pleased, excited, and futuristic. She points out that why is she there with elected President Joe Biden. She set the tone by defining that she stands for Democrats and will work hard to serve the country. Vice President also described what she represents as the first woman and woman of color elected Vice President.
The speech given by Mr. Biden delivered a vision and a tone that was in sharp contrast to Mr. Trump's sometimes divisive rhetoric. Against international or domestic rivals, there was no populist undertone or muscle-flexing. Alternatively, the 77-year-old president-elect preferred a message of peace within America and one of restoration overseas. He planned to focus on challenges of urgency, such as the pandemic. In Mr. Biden's voice, there was a sense of simplicity and sincerity. The large coalition that elected him has also been stressed, promising a Cabinet that will resemble the US's diversity. Mr. Biden is scheduled this week to announce important appointments relevant to a task force for Covid-19. He is expected to sign executive orders when he assumes office, which would undo much of the Trump administration's policies.
Great summary! I enjoyed both speeches and found that they brought hope where we've been wanting, of late.
